Lower Your Sights: Merci

In Merci, I sought to create an art style that captures the emotional depth and sensitivity of the narrative, which revolves around Shane (my writer) ancestor's harrowing journey to escape the horrors of war. My approach involved a delicate line work, designed to evoke both the fragility and resilience of the human spirit in times of conflict. Through each panel, I aimed to convey the weight of the character's experiences, while honoring the story's profound message of survival and hope.
